Firie runs over own car ?

Can anyone confirm that a western Sydney firie ran over his own car with the truck ??

Surely this would be world wide news if it is correct

Re: Tathra report released to public

Somewhat surprised there has been little commentary on this, but the two major outcomes expected by myself and some others who could see through the absolute crap being hurled about in media and in public by others was findings that nothing could have changed the ultimate outcome of the Bega Valley...

Re: Tathra / Bega Valley Bushfire Report Submitted to Minister

One suspects the Minister may not have a full grasp on the actual situation, which is that since April after agreement between the FR and RFS Commissioners, a joint service policy has been enacted where FRNSW Comms will offer RFS assistance if there are nearby FRNSW resources, but it's entirely at ...

Re: RFS and Rescue

Has having a working group, or not dissenting got something to do with pushing for it in the first place ? BTW before you were interested in it there was a report into response times that everyone also agreed met the 20/40/60.. ;) maybe NSW got bigger.. or more likely it is just standard SRB politic...

Sydneycomms, it was the SRB as a whole who as developed the concept of remote RCR to fill SRB identified gaps, not the RFS.
I doubt it was the " SRB as a whole " but as I was not at the meetings what would I know ;)

Re: Coroners Findings - Blue Mountains Bushfire Springwood and MT Victoria 2013

Most concerning is a coroner stating they don't have enough resources or time for the enquiry.. FR get plenty of electrical training and experience.. sounds like fun going to an enquiry as a fire investigator

Re: RFS and Rescue

I was wondering myself if the SRB have made "RCR only" official yet.. when it does things could get interesting

Re: Changes being made after Tathra

Ill take a punt and say there will be further baby steps towards how things should be after the enquiry.. and in addition to what the " white shirts " have begrudgingly agreed to so far..

Re: What a difference

I wonder how much of this can be attributed to the much greater number of firefighting resources available in and around the area? A great deal of it. At a rough estimate there are around 500 fire appliances within 1 hour travel of the Holsworthy location. Being 160 FRNSW, 300 RFS and 40 in total f...

Re: Fire feud has seen properties burn

Thankyou 2 hats. ;) Why would someone who is a volunteer front line firefighter allow or put themselves in the above situations...trying to act for their agency knowing a better faster resource is available to respond. The winners...?.. paid white shirts on a career path while the volunteer donates...
