45 Miranda, 94 Kellyville and 98 Cranebrook have 4wd tankers. They do not have retained, so the tankers when manned, are manned by permanent firefighters I believe.

No new logo or name for the NSW RFS on the horizon.

I've heard though, that the RFS might without resorting to 'Plus Plan' pictograms or other expensive nonsense, be looking at letting the community know that it does a bit more than just bush fires.

Chain of Command should be.......Where a Paid Service is in attendance (permo or retained) they should have control of the incident if there is no rfd/fd boundaries in place. Generally Keelty's recommendations are a win for the people of NSW. Any suggestion to the contrary is simply putting the population back in second or third place on the scale of importance. The NSW government has very quickly committed to implementing all such recommendations, for this very reason....
