Even stranger Obscura,

New role for FRNSW Firefighters, playing PRS while ASNSW( primary rescue) weren't around,...... rescue NSW is really a basket case.

Good use of an RPA if you ask me.

Unlike F&R, PRS, like any police unit, aren't restricted to sitting in the station watching foxtel (which police don't have...nor beds...or proper kitchens...rec rooms...gyms... etc) so out an about they go doing other things...like policing where they're able to happen across all sorts of things. ;)

Invictus....😂😂...back in your box..

Instead of PRS driving around looking for jobs...give rescue in the PRS geographic patches to FRNSW...less Foxtell time if you wish and 4 persons to every job.

That could have been Joe Bloggs in the area playing with his dronevand camera too...it was just opportune and gave no benefit to origin and cause.

Many State FR and rural agencies have RPA capabilty and response, including infra red.

Put the coppers back in Camry's and Hilux's keeping the night time streets safe for firies, ambos and the public.

FRNSW like QFES and MFB do a lot more community education, building FS compliance, permits and inspections during their shift times than you might consider mate.

Glocks on white overalls quaffing donuts with 100 or 50% McDonalds coffee discounts doesn't always make a proactive safer fire and/or rescued community.

😉

So salty...must be a lack of sleep with so much NetFlix and Foxtel to binge on. ;)

If you hadn't read previously over the years, I'm all for F&R to do all RCR across the State. As for 4 persons to every job...would be very nice, even better if all 4 were rescue qualified.

Yes..all 4 rescue qualified..that does occur. Why would/should there be a difference in crew competencies..be it permanent or retained/auxilliary urban?

All 4 'rescue qualified' in relation to FRNSW? - the exception rather than the rule. FRNSW is struggling to keep up with the minimum of 2 SRB #'s per appliance at times.
